Danielle
A Special Story of a little girl's struggle to become normal again
Danielle Zanyk is a special girl to all of us. We watched her grow up for many years, we seen her pain as a tumor grew on her face. In 1997 Danielle was sent to Boston to several doctors to see what could be done about her tumor.
Danielle has a hemangioma, It's a benign tumor, very common tumor, although
not common to the extent she had it.
After 5 operations she now faces another operation the June 23, 2003 at "All Childrens Hospital" in St. Petersburg, FL. The surgery will remove a bone protrusion from Danielle's nose, straighten her mouth, which curves downward on the left side, and to provide a face lift to make both sides of her face more parallel.
After all her operations, after all the pain, traveling and a mothers love she now can show off her new face
With Donations from people like yourself, Danielle now can be a normal child. Children's Charity Fund, would like to thank you for all the generous donations to make this possible. We have given over $30,000.00 to help cover the cost of the surgeries and expense for Danielle.
Danielle still needs laser surgery to correct the scaring left over which is very minor, she will begin that as soon as her face has completely healed.
